About
Armin earned her B.S. with Honors in Behavioral/Systems Neuroscience from The Ohio State University in 2020 and her M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2024. She is currently a second-year psychiatry resident at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, with plans to pursue a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship beginning July 2027.
In the lab, Armin works with Dr. Tehmina Shakir and Dr. Hilary Marusak examining associations between circulating endocannabinoids and dissociative symptoms in urban adolescents from Metro Detroit. She conducts statistical analyses and is preparing a manuscript and poster on the neurobiological mechanisms underlying trauma-related psychopathology in youth.
Outside the Lab
In her free time, Armin loves to try new restaurants and is a huge foodie. She also enjoys weightlifting and traveling all over the world!
