Research Journey
The Clinical Outcomes and Research Training Experience (CORTEX) is an immersive mentorship program developed by the THINK Lab to introduce high school students to brain and mental health research. The program is co-directed by Natalie Thurston and Jacquelyn Wrubel.
Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and professional development, mentees gain practical research experience while building skills that prepare them for college, future careers, and lifelong learning.

Capstone Project
& Presentation
Design a conference-quality research poster showcasing your work and deliver a presentation at your school to share what you've learned with your peers.

Applicants must:

Be students at Crockett Midtown High School or Macomb Mathematics Science Technology Center

Be high school juniors or seniors in fall 2026

Display interest in neuroscience, psychology, or sociology
